Do Something – Trust and Don’t Worry
    Matthew 6:25-34 ESV
    October 19, 2014

The true happiness (joy) of believers IS one of Christ's main concerns. That is evident because Jesus' first recorded sermon (the Sermon on the Mount) begins with this theme of happiness.

Blessed - “Being happy, peaceful, content, satisfied – regardless of circumstances, because of an internal, genuine personal relationship with God.”

The true happiness (joy) that can fill the void in every soul CAN NOT  be manufactured or supplied by the things of this world.

To experience true happiness in life is to live out the Sermon on the Mount and CLIMB Mount Discipleship.
    1. Worrying is SENSELESS (vv. 25-26)
    2. Worrying is USELESS (vv. 27-29)
    3. Worrying is FAITHLESS (vv. 30-32)

The opposite of WORRY is PEACE.
    -Worry > to pull apart.
    -Peace > to join together.

The decision to be anxious – to worry – is the decision to not trust God.
Peace is the calm assurance that what God is doing is best.

    The Cure for Worry
    PRIORITIZE… (v. 33)
    FOCUS… (v. 34)

    Philippians 4:6–7 (ESV)
6do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I CHOOSE to do something – trust God and not worry…
