    1 Corinthians 10:1–6, 11 (ESV)

In the short term, an attitude of murmuring separates us from God and brings His judgment on us and even our loved ones.

In the long term it becomes a lifestyle that send us into the wilderness, giving us an empty, frustrated life of wondering and wandering.

    The Sin of Complaining –

to express dissatisfaction with a circumstance…

    The Sin of Coveting –

wanting something so much that you lose your satisfaction in God and all He is and is able to do…

    The Sin of Criticizing –

to focus on the perceived faults or shortcomings of others…

    The Sin of Rebellion –

resisting proper authorities as established by God and ultimately for
    God’s purpose…

    The Sin of Double-Mindedness –

to constantly look back as if to long for the things in the past while attempting to move forward in pursuit of God’s will, never leaning with confidence on God and His gracious promises.

    The Sin of Doubting –

A lack of confidence that God will keep His promises

Promise > an assurance that God gives His people so that they can walk by faith as they wait for Him to work.

The Sin of the Spirit of Fear –

an ongoing, distressing emotion aroused by the anticipation of pain, harm or loss…
